The luxury cruise ships collided earlier this afternoon during high winds at a Mexican port.

Carnival Glory, one of the ships, was trying to dock at 8.30am local time when it went straight into Carnival Legend, the other ship involved.

It is understood that one person suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash. Meanwhile, all the guests were swiftly evacuated to safety.

As seen above, the ship really took quite the hit and resulted in a large amount of damage.

Megan Skora, who was in her room on a nearby cruise ship, told ABC News that she couldn’t believe it:

“I couldn’t believe my eyes seeing what I did. [It was the} first time I’ve ever been scared on a cruise line.”

A Carnival Glory spokesman told Fox News: “Carnival Glory had a collision with Carnival Legend this morning in Cozumel.

“Carnival Glory was maneuvering to dock when it made contact with Carnival Legend which was already alongside.”
